In 2020, Pro Coro Canada commissioned eight Alberta composers to each write a short four-part a cappella work that could be learned individually at home and eventually sung in small groups in large venues or outside during the pandemic. Pro Coro Canada subsequently recorded these works in full and as individual practice videos that summer, which was one of the earliest professional choral activities during the pandemic in Canada. The choir has since performed the compositions several times in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region.

Established in 2001 by Jeannie Vanwynsberghe Pernal, the Grande Prairie Boys’ Choir is more than a singing group; it's a comprehensive musical education program. The choir strives to cultivate excellence and integrity in its members, enhancing their lives and those of its audiences through musical training and performances. The GP Boys’ Choir extends to nurturing leadership, service, and camaraderie, alongside fostering Christian values, manners, and social grace. The boys receive coaching in a diverse array of music, from ancient sacred tunes to contemporary hits.

With a steady membership of 120, the Grande Prairie Boys’ Choir offers continued involvement for their alumni in the Continuum of Men ensemble.
