Dear Friends and Supporters of Pro Coro Canada The year is coming to an end, and the frenzy of Advent and Christmas concerts here in town is in stark contrast to the Holiday Season over the last two years. And yet, I still would like to invite you to two performances this December here in Edmonton. This Sunday we will perform the Little Match Girl Passion by David Lang for the 10th year in a row. I brought this Pulitzer-prize winning work to Edmonton in 2013, and we have presented it every year since as a candle-lit reflection in Advent. This performance was a tradition we did not break during the pandemic. Below you can see our setup in December 2020. And of course, join us on the last day of the year at 7:30 pm for a festive concert at All Saints’ Anglican Cathedral with music by Mendelssohn, Willan, Thompson, and Biebl. You’ll be singing along to Auld Lang Syne before we raise a glass to toast the New Year! with my best wishes, Michael Zaugg
