Dear Friends and Supporters of Pro Coro Canada,

Our final concert of the 2021-2022 season is taking place this Saturday at All Saints’ Anglican Cathedral in Edmonton! The choir is sounding fabulous and I am really excited about the diverse and unique repertoire. Our Emerging Artist Ryan has been able to learn in front of the choir and will direct a selection of the concert. We will also present the 2022-2023 season, and it promises to be a great year of choral treasures. So, there are so many reasons to come and hear us live on Saturday, or to tune-in on tv.procoro.ca. This is your LAST CHANCE to hear and see Pro Coro Canada before we head into summer!

Join us for Doors of Heaven at 7:30pm on Saturday, June 18th at All Saints’ Anglican Cathedral (10035 103 Street NW), as well as live-streamed online on ProCoroTV.

Experience a collection of timeless choral treasures, featuring music by Marie-Claire Saindon, Laura Hawley, Harris, Esenvalds, and Grigorjeva, and includes a world premiere by Swedish Henrik Dahlgren. Pro Coro will explore choral music about the sky above us and shines a light on the mystical, the spiritual, and the natural.

Sneak Peek: Ryan Doyle Valdés Rehearses with Pro Coro

We are thrilled to welcome Ryan Doyle Valdés as a featured Emerging Artist to conduct part of our upcoming concert on Saturday.

A native of Delaware, USA, Ryan is a rising second-year M.Mus. choral conducting candidate at McGill University. His research and performance interests include responsible cross-cultural education and performance in choral music and the incorporation of technology and avant-garde techniques in choral performance.

Join #connect, Pro Coro Canada’s ensemble for young, emerging singers! #connect singers will take part in two concerts, and sing a cappella music in different languages spanning 400 years.

You will be coached by professional singers from Pro Coro Canada, deepen your knowledge of music theory and learn about historical context. The rehearsals and the concerts are led by Pro Coro’s artistic director Michael Zaugg and will take place in Edmonton.
