He is an alumnus of the World Youth Choir, the National Youth Choir of Canada, and the Canadian National Debate Team. When he is not singing with PCC, Graeme is hard at work as the Assistant Director and Business Manager of Cantaré Children’s Choir, and as a freelance videographer across Alberta. What is your major musical influence? I know it sounds cheesy to say, but my biggest musical influence is Michael Zaugg and the Singers of Pro Coro! Michael always gives the choir 100% in curating programs that present interesting and challenging journeys for audience and singers alike. Every rehearsal feels like an invitation to grow and I feel like I come out of every production a more empowered singer with new tools in my musical kit! What are your favourite Pro Coro Canada Performances? Any program that features music by our former composer-in-residence Ugis Praulins jumps right to the top of my list! I’ve been both an audience member and a singer for truly special performances of his epic work The Nightingale over the years, and I don’t know if there’s any experience that can top what a room feels like when that piece springs to life on stage! (Seriously, it’s still on PCC TV – GO WATCH IT!!) Which performance should people come see? There’s certainly a lot of bias with Rachmaninoff's All-Night Vigil on my mind, but I can’t wait to get on stage for this year's edition of Good Friday with Pro Coro! There’s a really exciting blend of music on the program which will be the perfect backdrop for the return of an annual classic!
