We’re at the end of an amazing season with Pro Coro. It has been a unique year, figuring out new ways, new music, new venues and new protocols! Thank you all for being with us on this journey through the 2021-2022 season. The choir has performed 10 concerts with in-person audiences and a simultaneous livestream, provided learning opportunities for 5 emerging artists, premiered 12 Canadian choral works, and performed an additional 24 choral works by Canadian composers. We presented music spanning 3 centuries from 12 nations, including another three premiers. Two concert productions featured PIVOT participants (Canadian League of Composers program) where the choir sang innovative contemporary repertoire, employing extended techniques and unique props. All in all, a very busy year! The choir is meeting once more this week, at Edmonton City Hall, and you’ll see why in a couple of weeks! Meanwhile, keep an eye on Pro Coro’s social media because there will be unique and enticing releases. You will receive an email at the beginning of August with all the information for the 2022-2023 season; how to buy subscriptions, single tickets, and how to access tv.procoro.ca AND, we will have our hand printed posters for sale (see video below).
