Bob grew up in the Ottawa Montreal area, and had the advantage of a great undergraduate experience at McGill University. He took a leave of absence from graduate school at Cornell because he couldn’t stand being indoors, and he never went back. Within a year, he ended up in an isolated First Nations community in the Rocky Mountains, where he lived under canvas for seven years, ostensibly doing community development work but, more accurately, fulfilling his childhood ambition to become a cowboy. He was invited to facilitate relationships among First Nations and other orders of government, a series of gigs that evolved into a mid-career MBA, becoming a Certified Management Consultant and practicing for 31 years within Western Management Consultants, including two terms as their National Director.
He is now phasing into full retirement to concentrate on his rich family life, personal interests and avocations too long postponed, and a few volunteer community commitments like Pro Coro Canada.
