A shining example is our production of The Emperor’s New Clothes where Pro Coro Canada partnered with Shumayela youth choir, led by our own Kimberley Denis, to give a stunning opening performance to the season!

Many of Pro Coro Canada’s professional singers are conductors in their own right, leading and developing choirs in the greater Edmonton area, and as far as Calgary and Regina. The development we pour into our choir helps to make the choral arts community even more vibrant! Shaping the choral arts community is one of our core strategic values. And we need your financial partnership to help it to be fully realized.

Your financial support of Pro Coro Canada directly contributes to the development of a new generation of choral singing. As Pro Coro Canada’s singer and Emerging Artist Program participant Britney Huyhn puts it:

Edmonton has such an incredible choral community. There are so many community choirs and youth choirs to support! I think a big reason that the professional choral arts should be supported as well is to inspire aspiring professional singers and musicians… I think music, specifically the professional choral arts, should be supported so kids can have something to aspire to. I come from an immigrant family, and getting to work professionally as a paid musician was never something I knew was a possibility. Now, I feel so honoured to be able to do what I love as a career.
