Dear friends and supporters of Pro Coro Canada, The summer has slowly come to an end, kids are back at school, Thanksgiving weekend is looming and the morning air is chilly. Autumn is here! I hope you enjoyed restful, restoring summer months. Of course, this time of the year also brings EXCITEMENT as we’ve just kicked-off the 24.25 season last week. Are you intrigued by our concert lineup? The choir is recording a new work by Edmonton sound artist Noel Fanaeian, and the album will be out in the Spring! I would like to briefly talk to you about our SUBSCRIPTIONS.
Time and time again we’re struggling to make ends meet in our small not-for-profit performing arts organization. The Global Pandemic has impacted sales of annual subscriptions even further, and frankly, it’s exhausting and heartbreaking to see the downward spiral caused by the lack of advance ticket sales. Subscriptions and Advance ticket sales are crucial to smaller ensembles and organizations. They help us ensure the event is properly promoted and produced, support short and long-term planning for both the choir and the organization, and simply provide us with an assurance that we can work in a creative environment. Pro Coro Canada had to modify programming of repertoire and entire concerts in the last four years, leaving performers, staff, and volunteers deflated and without work because of low advance sales. Since you love choral music, if you are planning to attend a performance or the entire season, PLEASE buy your tickets or subscription in advance. We have a great campaign on right now until tomorrow, September 15th, and you can save up to 20% for the FULL season. I know plans can change, and you are able to transfer your tickets to friends and family. Nevertheless, advance sales are absolutely crucial to the survival of our not-for-profit choral organization.
