From Moonshot I to Moonshot III, Pro Coro Canada has explored different forms of composition and processes that coincide with contemporary music. Starting with Ugis Praulins’ work in Moonshot I, to collective choral improvisation in Moonshot II, then coordinating with the Canadian League of Composers to showcase Canada’s emerging musicians in Moonshot III, we have always been at the forefront of innovating choral arts. This 2023, with Montreal’s Growlers Choir and its composer Pierre-Luc Senécal, Moonshot IV: The Dayking will uncover new realms that highlight Canadian music and talents.

Re-experience Moonshot III when Pro Coro Canada presented six world-premieres by PIVOT composers - Fjóla Evans, Rebecca Gray, Jessie Rivest, Sarah Albu, Félix-Antoine Coutu, and Steven Webb. These compositions explored the capabilities of the human voice and pushed the traditional boundaries of what choral music can sound like.
