August 17, 2021 Dear Friends and supporters of Pro Coro Canada It is so exciting to present the 21.22 season of Pro Coro Canada to you after a year of creative pivoting! Join us on YouTube as we stroll with our singers through Edmonton, while learning more about Pro Coro’s Experience Concerts and our Select Series Concerts. It’s invigorating to experience the city in summer, coming alive with more and more people returning to work in-person. It promises to be a vibrant autumn. We can’t wait to start with rehearsals this coming month, and to set up our first in-person concert in over a year. You can find this season’s musical selections on our website, and I’m particularly happy to work on the great masterworks by Britten, Poulenc, and Lidholm for the opening concert Laudi. Don’t forget to watch our season release video where the singers will tell you more about what we will be performing this year (see below). Our season passports provide you with a variety of options to access our concerts in-person or from afar, as Pro Coro Canada will live-stream most performances. As passport holder, you can enjoy an event in-person and then will have the chance to re-watch the musical performance again at home. Our TV Channel is available world-wide and since September 2020, we have accumulated a viewership from over 25 countries! - Thank you for joining us on this digital journey during the global pandemic. Over the course of the 21.22 season, we will meet over 20 Canadian composers, through collaborations with the Canadian League of Composers and through featuring Edmonton-based composers in a special event in January 2022. Don’t miss these innovative explorations of new choral works, set alongside masters such as Scarlatti, Dvorak, Brahms and Monteverdi. I look forward to seeing you in our 21.22 season, until then,
