Dear Friends and Supporters of Pro Coro Canada Happy New Year! We hope you will join us again for great choral experiences in 2023! Pro Coro ended 2022 with an evening of choral music, including a tribute to the late Ian Tyson as we performed his iconic Four Strong Winds. The audience joined spontaneously singing along to this well-loved tune, and we moved straight into a rousing Auld Lang Syne, complete with party hats and a disco ball! A festive gathering with the audience and singers and staff, and with a glass of bubbles, concluded the evening! I would like to express my gratitude for your support, in many different ways, of our organization through a challenging year in 2022. Small not-for-profit arts organizations rely on the community for support, be it financial, or through volunteerism or through engagement at our concerts, and Pro Coro is blessed to have such a great ‘fan base’ here in Edmonton, and across Canada and abroad. I look forward to our next concert which features the Heavy Metal Growlers Choir from Montreal (see below). We have ventured outside the traditional choral idiom many times, but never this far!
