The Edmonton Swiss Men's Choir, directed by Elizabeth Anderson, adds a rich layer of cultural and musical diversity, embodying a deep sense of community and friendship among its Swiss and non-Swiss members. The group regularly presents community concerts and offers workshops with various conductors, vocal coaches, and musicians of note.

This February, the Edmonton Swiss Men’s Choir will be part of Mentoring Men with the tenors and basses of Pro Coro Canada. These choral groups help in championing the nurturing and support of young tenors and basses in the choral community. This commitment is essential in keeping the tradition alive, encouraging diversity in choral music, and building a strong, supportive network for aspiring vocalists.

Frost & Fire features over 100 singers on stage composed of the tenors and basses of Pro Coro Canada, the Edmonton Swiss Men’s Choir, and the Grande Prairie Boys’ Choir.

The program includes an inspiring selection of works by composers:

• and a selection of popular songs from James Taylor to Stan Rogers to Grease.

We are excited to present our host of Frost & Fire, Mike Cameron, a two-time TEDx speaker, Canadian author, entrepreneur, and Certified Executive Coach, who will share his passion for mentoring men and leaders. His focus on men's mental health is highlighting the importance of dialogue and support in this area.

As a Certified Executive Coach and an authority on peak performance, Mike has devoted his career to exploring the profound influence of emotion on human conduct. Mike is also the founder of Connect’d Men, an organization designed to create a safe space for men to practice emotional fitness.

In 2020, Pro Coro Canada commissioned eight Alberta composers to write short four-part a cappella works that could be learned individually at home and eventually sung in small groups during periods where gatherings were restricted. Pro Coro Canada subsequently recorded these works in full and as individual practice videos in the summer of 2020, one of the earliest professional choral activities during the pandemic in Canada. The choir has performed the compositions several times in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region.

Pro Coro has since released We Breathe in Stars on various music streaming platforms, featuring the full 24-voice choir.
