Dear choral colleagues,

We’re coming to the end of the 2021-2022 season of Pro Coro Canada. Our final concert Doors of Heaven featured a cappella music by Cooke, Esenvalds, Britten, Hawley, McDowall, Saindon and Grigorjeva. We performed the world premier of Prayer by Henrik Dahlgren from Sweden, and we introduced his work in our last newsletter. Our EAR Ryan Doyle conducted a selection of three works, and he commented afterwards:

The PCC EAR program distilled a year’s worth of learning into 10 days of rewarding work with an encouraging and kind group of musicians. Michael and Pro Coro made every moment worth it!

Our upcoming 2022-2023 season was revealed at that concert, and I am really excited about the many a cappella treasures we will present with Pro Coro Canada. Education for choral artists, - composers, conductors and singers, - will be an integral part of our programming, and I am happy to report that all our EAR spots have been filled. We will welcome emerging artists from across Canada and Europe to work with the choir in various functions.
