Dear Friends and Supporters of Pro Coro Canada,

Our annual Good Friday concert is taking place exactly one month from today. It is a tradition in the Edmonton concert calendar and I’m happy that we are able to continue with our presentations on Good Friday.

The Stabat Mater text has been used for centuries as a source for musical settings, and will lead us through this year’s concert. ‘The weeping mother at the cross’ is an appropriate theme during these times when we witness the human pain and misery of the current war and refugee situation in Central and Eastern Europe. As we move into an environment with fewer health restrictions, we are adjusting our concert protocols. I am determined to provide a comfortable and safe environment for anyone attending the concert on April 15 in person; this includes volunteers, staff, musicians and audience members. Good Friday with Pro Coro Canada at 7:30pm on Friday, April 15th at Robertson-Wesley United Church (10209 123 St NW), as well as live-streamed online through ProCoroTV.

Join Pro Coro Canada for the annual Good Friday concert as the ensemble reflects on the Passion of Christ with choral music spanning 250 years. This performance will feature works by Allan Bevan, Lotti, Scarlatti, Lukaszewski, and a Canadian premiere by Nicola Burnett Smith.
