Dear Friends and Supporters of Pro Coro Canada,

Our 2021-2022 season is coming to an end soon! It seems it wasn’t long ago that we performed Laudi, our celebration in September of 40 years Pro Coro Canada concerts. Doors of Heaven is also a celebration for us:

we celebrate the successful conclusion of another pandemic concert season;
we celebrate some of our favourite a cappella music;
we celebrate Canadian composers;
we celebrate emerging artists;
we celebrate our choir, our creativity and resilience during these past months; and,
we celebrate with you, our Edmonton and Canadian Choral Community!

I hope you can join us, in-person or online. You will also be the first to see our 2022-2023 season lineup, so you don’t want to miss it!

Get Your Tickets for Doors of Heaven

Join us for Doors of Heaven at 7:30pm on Saturday, June 18th at All Saints’ Anglican Cathedral (10035 103 Street NW), as well as live-streamed online on ProCoroTV.

The final concert of the season will be a collection of timeless choral treasures, featuring music by Canadians Marie-Claire Saindon and Laura Hawley, as well as works by Harris, Esenvalds and Grigorjeva, and includes a world premiere by Swedish Henrik Dahlgren. Pro Coro will explore choral music about the sky above us and shines a light on the mystical, the spiritual and the natural.

William Harris’ Faire is the Heaven will be a familiar work featured as part of the Doors of Heaven program. Pro Coro last performed this work in 2020, and we would like to share this exclusive recording with you.

Join #connect, Pro Coro Canada’s ensemble for young, emerging singers! #connect singers will take part in two concerts, and sing a cappella music in different languages spanning 400 years.

You will be coached by professional singers from Pro Coro Canada, deepen your knowledge of music theory and learn about historical context. The rehearsals and the concerts are led by Pro Coro’s artistic director Michael Zaugg and will take place in Edmonton.
