Dear Friends and supporters of Pro Coro Canada It is time to celebrate! Forty years ago, in January 1981, conductor Michel M. Gervais brought his dream of a professional choir into reality by incorporating the Pro Coro Society. Today, we know the organization as Pro Coro Canada, and it is a great privilege to be at the helm of this pioneering choral ensemble. On January 30 we will gather online to pay tribute to the founder and the many individuals who have shaped this organization. We will hear from conductors, community members and performers about their experiences over the years with the choir. It will be interesting to explore the cultural scene at the time of the foundation in 1981 juxtaposed with the pandemic environment we find ourselves in today. We are also excited about our upcoming blog series where we join former Artistic Director Richard Sparks in exploring the many magnificent concerts he led during his tenure with the choir from 1998 to 2011. I hope you were able to spend the Holidays in a meaningful way at home. Thank you for joining us for our Happy Hour In Between The Years series. This new venture of Pro Coro Canada was well received and many of you joined us every evening. We are lucky to have such amazing talent here in Edmonton and within the ranks of Pro Coro Canada.
