Pro Coro Canada’s Commitment to Community and Accessibility

As we move through our Bold Stories - Bold Sounds strategic journey, Pro Coro Canada is dedicated to ensuring the power of choral music is accessible to everyone in our community. We are actively listening and evolving to create a space where everyone belongs.

Our Commitment to Inclusion: Our stage reflects the world we live in. Following the formal adoption of our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Respect (EDIR) policy in 2024, we continue to champion repertoire by diverse composers, creators, and Artists-in-Residence. We explore current stories and themes, and challenge ourselves with new sounds, techniques, and artistic perspectives.

By championing EDIR values, Pro Coro Canada fosters a professional environment grounded in respect and accommodation where creativity thrives. We incorporate feedback from our network of singers, volunteers, and partners into actionable opportunities for learning and improvement.

Our Commitment to Accessibility: We believe that physical and financial barriers should not prevent anyone from experiencing the arts.

  • Accessible Venues: We prioritize performance spaces that are physically accessible to all patrons.

  • Compassionate Ticketing: We offer complimentary admission for support persons accompanying patrons with mobility issues or accessibility needs.*

  • Inclusive Welcomes: We are actively widening our circle by collaborating with community service organizations, educational institutions  and not-for-profit arts organizations to offer designated community ticketing, and dedicated complimentary access to events.

  • ProCoro TV: We employ a professional team to livestream our major concerts to a global audience, free of charge, on our website. Selected performances can be re-watched, and additional educational content is available to everyone.

Whether you are a long-time subscriber, a first-time listener, a new member of our organization, or a volunteer, you have a place here.

Join us as we continue to sing the stories of our time.
