Paweł Łukaszewski Responsoria Tenebrae Luminous Polish sacred music for Holy Week, sung a cappella.

Jevgeņijs Ustinskovs Stabat Mater Dolorosa A hauntingly contemporary Latvian setting of the sacred text.

Hannah Havrylets Prayer to the Most Holy Mother of God In memory of a Ukrainian composer whose voice was silenced by war in 2022.

Iryna Aleksiychuck The Prayer Holy Mother of God, have mercy on us — a prayer from the living voice of contemporary Ukraine.

Tonight's ensemble brought together Pro Coro's professional singers, four soloists, pianist Megan Crane, and fifteen emerging artists from the Alberta Youth Choir.

The presence of emerging singers alongside the professionals felt...

Seamless I could not distinguish them. They formed one unified ensemble.

An Inspiring Contrast The emerging singers brought fresh energy I could sense and appreciate.

A Meaningful Mission Knowing the next generation was on stage added importance to the evening.
